Technology & Law

The Technology and Law Committee keeps a watching brief on a wide range of technology law issues including the law on social media, online bullying and privacy, artificial intelligence, digital security, storage of personal data by private entities and government agencies, and data protection regulations.

The Committee also keeps a watching brief on the development of case law and engages in extensive law and policy reform in the technology space. Committee members also draft articles containing expert commentary on a wide range of technology law issues, as well as assisting with continuing professional development initiatives.

Creating opportunities for cross-sector collaboration between legal professionals, technologists and policymakers is a point of focus for the Committee, as well as exploring and promoting innovative solutions to enhance legal practice and compliance in today’s digital era.
