Emma is a Principal Advisor in Overseas Investment at Land Information New Zealand. She is a former lawyer, with a background in general practice and relationship property law. Emma manages exemptions under the Overseas Investment Act, variations of consent, and monitoring of consent conditions. Her role also contributes to the best practice of the overall Overseas Investment regime and policy.

Tina is a Director of Queen City Law and is the leader of its Property and Disputes Team. She is Convenor of TLANZ’s Property Law Committee and sits on the Property Disputes Committee and Civil Litigation Committee. She specialises in property, construction, and litigation and is frequently in court while advocating sensible settlement options for clients wherever possible. 

Jade is the Team Leader of the Property Product Team at Auckland Council. With assistance from other departments across council, the Property Product team is responsible for creating and issuing both Property File Products (PFPs) and Land Information Memorandums (LIMs) to customers to meet council’s obligation under the LGOIMA Act. Jade has 8 years’ experience across the council’s property teams and plays a key part in making sure products are fit for purpose plus providing advice to other council departments on the information they hold.

Thomas is a specialist property and land development lawyer. His work traverses unit titles, expert opinions, technical easement and covenant advice, resource consent and plan change matters, the Public Works Act, infrastructure agreements, and local government issues. 

Thomas has presented seminars at academic and industry-based conferences in New Zealand and overseas, and wrote a series of articles on the 10th edition of the ADLS/REINZ Agreement for Sale and Purchase of Real Estate for LawTalk. He is the author of Unit Titles Law & Practice, A Practical Guide to the Land Transfer Act and co-author of Subdivisions Law and Practice, and has written various journal articles. He has provided expert evidence in the High Court on land development matters, and also serves on a number of boards and committees.

Rebecca is a lead planner at Auckland Council. She collaborates across the council group in formulating submissions on Resource Management Act secondary legislation, Bills and other regulations including the DIA’s ‘proposal for regulations for natural hazard information in LIMs’. Rebecca has over 20 years’ experience in regulatory and policy planning roles in the local government sector and works on a variety of planning projects.

Shannon is a solicitor at Vicki Ammundsen Trust Law. She handles all aspects of the firm’s conveyancing and is highly experienced in residential transactions, particularly those involving trust ownership. Shannon has been working in the law for 26 years, starting as an accounts junior and subsequently obtaining her NZLS Legal Executive Diploma followed by an LLB with Honours. Shannon is a member of the Property Law Section. 

Sarah has worked in the public service for over 20 years, starting as a Customs officer before changing direction and becoming a policy analyst. Since 2013 Sarah has worked on a wide range of topics with a focus on legislative policy and is an expert in regulatory impact analysis (RIA) and parliamentary processes. Sarah is the chair of the MPI RIA panel and holds a BA in Security Studies, Politics, and International Relations

Polina is a Senior Legal Executive in the Property and Disputes Team at Queen City Law and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. Polina began her career in 2010 as a receptionist at a general law firm and has since advanced through various roles, including PA in litigation, trust accountant, and legal assistant in commercial and property teams completing her Legal Executive Studies in 2018. Polina specialises in residential conveyancing. Thanks to her meticulous attention to detail, she excels in reviewing titles, LIM reports, and auction documents.

Jan is a senior associate in Bell Gully’s market leading projects and real estate team. She is highly experienced in advising on LIM reports and offers guidance on property acquisition, development, and leasing.  Jan has built strong relationships with clients across various industries, including land development and property financing.

Natasha is a senior solicitor at Vicki Ammundsen Trust Law whose primary areas of practice are trusts, estates and relationship property. She is involved in a wide range of matters across these areas including planning, administration and litigation. Natasha is a full member of STEP (TEP) having completed the STEP (Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners) Advanced Diploma in Trusts and Estates with distinction.

Mark is a recognised senior commercial lawyer and founder of Mark Copeland Lawyers, specialising in commercial law, disputes resolution and sports law. He provides strategic advice to a diverse range of clients, including private individuals, New Zealand government entities and major international corporations, on matters such as agribusiness, energy, property, trusts, Iwi commercial development, resources management, sports law, carbon farming as well as commercial mediation and arbitration. A Chartered Member of the NZ Institute of Directors and an AMINZ-accredited Mediator and Arbitrator, Mark also holds various governance roles, including as Chairman of the Legal and Ethics Committee of the International Paralympic Committee.
