Denham Martin Tax Law, a leading New Zealand lawyer specialising in tax law, is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable law clerk or law graduate for an initial casual part-time role. The position involves legal research and general law-related and administrative tasks.
This role will be for approximately two months from start date until around 19 June 2026, with the possibility of extending into a 6-month fixed-term part-time position (24–32 hours per week) to cover maternity leave through to the end of December 2026.
Ideal candidates will be graduating mid-year or available on a flexible casual basis until mid-June. Some flexibility with hours is available for the right candidate with ongoing university commitments.
The successful candidate in this role will be:
- Currently completing a law degree (preferably in their last year)
- Have an interest in tax law
- Enjoys and is skilled at legal research and analysis
- Professional in their approach to the law
- Aware of the importance of confidentiality
- Able to follow instructions and to ask questions
- Organized and can meet deadlines
- Reliable and hardworking
