The Public and Administrative Law Committee is made up of lawyers with experience in various aspects of public and administrative law. The Committee is dedicated to exploring a wide range of legal issues that affect this multi-faceted area of law, including constitutional law, judicial review, the Bill of Rights, the Treaty of Waitangi, local government law, privacy law and topical regulatory and policy issues.
The Committee engages in law reform projects, promotes the rule of law, seeks to protect individual rights and freedoms, and advocates for sound public policy and public administration.
