Janko Marcetic

Janko is a key member of Chapman Tripp's Litigation and Restructuring and Insolvency teams, advising clients on a variety of commercial disputes, with a particular focus on restructuring and insolvency.

He has experience advising landlords, tenants and insolvency practitioners in property and leasing disputes (both general and insolvency-related) and debt recovery matters. More generally, Janko acts for insolvency practitioners on complex issues arising in the course of receivership, liquidation and administration, including claims against directors and third parties by insolvency practitioners. Janko has also acted for directors of companies facing both civil claims and regulatory charges. He has appeared as counsel in the Supreme Court, District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Janko is recognised as a Rising Star by Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2023 and NZ Lawyer 2023, and as an Associate to Watch by Chambers Asia Pacific 2023.

Andrea Shepherd

Andrea specialises in commercial property law and acts for clients in relation to leasing, developments, acquisitions, disposals and property related insolvency matters.

Her extensive leasing experience on behalf of both landlords and tenants in relation to a variety of tenancies, including retail, industrial and office tenancies, means that she understands what is important to both parties. Andrea also has significant experience assisting clients in relation to property insolvency matters, acting for both receivers and liquidators of tenants as well as landlords dealing with tenants which are in formal insolvency.
