Raybon Kan

For the blink of an eye, Raybon Kan practised as a law clerk (and even published a case note in the NZ Law Journal) before writing columns for the Listener, Dominion, Sunday Star Times and NZ Herald. Named Best Comedian by both Metro Magazine and North & South, Raybon has performed at major comedy festivals in Montreal, Edinburgh, and Melbourne. His bestselling collection, ‘An Asian at my Table,’ was published by Penguin. He scripted an episode of the sitcom Wellington Paranormal, in which a pair of haunted trousers from the 70s, possess a teenager, and make him disco dance. He is currently touring his anniversary stand-up show Raybonanza, to celebrate 30 years in comedy.
