With increased reliance on the “Bank of Mum and Dad”, shifting relationship dynamics, and the prevalence of blended families, legal title to property does not always reflect the underlying intentions of the parties. This session examines the key enquiries practitioners must undertake and the ownership structures available to ensure clients’ interests are properly protected in complex and informal arrangements.
We will also address common areas where discrepancies arise in practice, including recent developments under the Trusts Act 2019 (in particular s 118), equipping practitioners with practical insight into managing risk and navigating the evolving conveyancing landscape.
