Update on Contract Law

Contract law is fundamental for many practitioners. Focusing on practical implications, this webinar will explore the key developments in New Zealand contract law over the past few years.

Barrister Josh Suyker will cover recent decisions on interpretation, implied terms and good faith, cancellation and remedies, and when courts will enforce entire agreement and similar boilerplate clauses. He will also cover legislative and procedural change affecting contract disputes, including the unfair contract terms regime and the refreshed High Court Rules.

Throughout the session, the emphasis will be on what these developments mean for how you draft and advise on a contract, and what happens when it all goes wrong.

Don’t miss this useful opportunity to keep abreast of these important developments.
