The Law Association – October 2026 Three Months’ Complimentary LegalForms Essentials Offer
1. Organiser – This offer is organised by The Law Association of New Zealand Incorporated of Level 18, Vero Centre, 48 Shortland Street, Auckland 1010, New Zealand.
2. Offer – Eligible non-members who take out a new membership with The Law Association before the end of October 2026 will receive a three-month complimentary subscription to the LegalForms Essentials plan, normally $360 + GST per annum, at no additional cost. The complimentary LegalForms Essentials subscription is provided subject to these Terms and Conditions and LegalForms’ applicable subscription terms and conditions.
3. Eligibility– The offer is available to individuals or firms who: are not current members of The Law Association at the time they take up the offer; take out a new membership with The Law Association during the Offer Period; and meet any other eligibility requirements specified by The Law Association.
The offer is not available to existing members of The Law Association, customers renewing or upgrading an existing membership, or existing LegalForms subscribers who are not otherwise eligible for a new membership under this offer.
The Law Association reserves the right to determine eligibility for the offer and to verify any qualifying membership.
4. Offer Period– To be eligible for the offer, a new membership with The Law Association must be taken out between 1 September 2026 and 11:59 pm on 30 October 2026. Memberships taken out outside the Offer Period are not eligible for the offer.
5. Complimentary LegalForms Essentials Subscription– Eligible members will receive a three-month complimentary subscription to the LegalForms Essentials plan at no additional cost. The complimentary LegalForms subscription will commence following confirmation of the eligible membership and completion of any requirements necessary to activate the subscription.
The complimentary subscription is limited to one LegalForms Essentials subscription per eligible membership and is not transferable or redeemable for cash or any other product or service.
The complimentary subscription is valued at $360 + GST per annum. This stated value is based on the applicable annual LegalForms Essentials subscription price at the time of the offer and does not represent a cash payment or credit.
6. LegalForms Subscription – The LegalForms Essentials subscription is separate from The Law Association membership and remains subject to LegalForms’ applicable subscription terms and conditions.nThe three month complimentary period begins on the date the LegalForms Essentials subscription is activated.
At the end of the three-month complimentary period, the complimentary LegalForms Essentials subscription will end automatically. No paid Essentials subscription will commence unless the member elects to continue with the Essentials plan at the applicable subscription price. If the member does not elect to continue, their LegalForms account will automatically move to the Pay As You Go service, subject to the applicable Pay As You Go terms and pricing.
7. Changes to the Offer – The Law Association reserves the right to amend, extend, suspend or withdraw the offer at any time, subject to applicable law. Any changes will not affect rights already accrued by eligible participants except where required or permitted by law.
8. Data Usage and Privacy – Personal information collected from participants will be used for the purpose of administering the offer, confirming eligibility, establishing membership and arranging access to the complimentary LegalForms Essentials subscription.
Where participants provide consent, their contact details may also be used by The Law Association to provide information about future events, publications, products and services.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and The Law Association’s Privacy Policy.
9. General Conditions – Participation in this offer constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. The Law Association reserves the right to disqualify any customer who does not meet the eligibility requirements or who is found to have provided false or misleading information in connection with the offer.
If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and the LegalForms terms and conditions, these Terms prevail to the extent of the inconsistency in relation to this offer.
The Law Association’s determination of eligibility and administration of the offer is final, subject to any rights available to customers under New Zealand law.
10. Liability – To the extent permitted by law, The Law Association is not liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from participation in, or inability to participate in, this offer. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under New Zealand law.
11. Force Majeure – The Law Association is not liable for any failure or delay in performing an obligation under these Terms and Conditions where the failure or delay is caused by an event beyond its reasonable control.
12. Governing Law –These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute arising in connection with this offer is subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
