Richard Broad | Consultant, Alexander Dorrington
With over 40 years’ experience in the law, Richard is a leading provider of personal client services. He started his professional legal career in private practice in Wellington becoming a partner in a boutique law firm. After many years in private practice, he was appointed as Head of Legal, Personal Legal Services at Guardian Trust (now Perpetual Guardian), initially based in Wellington then moving to Auckland. A slight change of direction saw Richard become the Managing Director of a trustee company providing foreign trust services. He then returned to private practice and joined Simpson Grierson in Auckland. Most recently, Richard established his own legal practice – Richard Broad Legal – and exclusively provides personal client services to a wide variety of clients, both locally and internationally. Richard is a member of the Law Association Trust Law Committee, a member of STEP, and served for nine years on a NZ Law Society Standards Committee.
